Oh can my night get any better … Truth Designs is having a huge sale.  With a new store design coming out soon, Truth decided to hold a discontinuation sale.  As I wait for an open spot on the sim, I will share the news with you all.  Here’s the info from the notecard:

*Review* Ornamental Life

A fellow blogger crossed over into designer her own items.  Shir Dryke just recently crossed over into the “design realm” of fashion. Ornamental Life is now a shop out on the grid.  What I’ve seen from the review copies she gave me, Shir’s off to a great start.  I chose to talk about “Sounds of Goa”.  Its not only a dress but a one-piece bathing suit.  Thankfully a full coverage suit.  I sometimes cringe when I see one pieces… not this one. I was so relieved to see a full “seat” and top.

Sounds of Goa comes in a boatload of colors … all with unique names.  Another cool thing about Shir. I have yet to see her use the common name for colors.  Just like her fashions, the colors have a fun and lively name.  Very well thought out for marketing.

Keep up the great work Shir.  Its great to help support you and get the word out about your shop!

Ornamental Life

*Review* Ki-Squared

Ki-Squared is owned by Kiki Cunningham.  She dropped on me some of the cutest brightest colored items … all of which I really enjoyed.  I picked my fav of the bunch for the review.

First, the hair-do.  Its called “Flashback” … boy is it! Its a modern-day poof with majority of the hair loose and wavey in the back.  I’m not a big fan of bangs, but this style is hard to resist.  Several colors to choose. This one is chocolate.

For the shirt called “Double Dipping”.  It caught my attention due to the fact I haven’t seen this style anywhere else.  Not even close. Its so nice to see Kiki took a not-so-mainstream approach to this design.  It marrys a solid and stripe shirt using a double tank look.  Oh! She even gives it out in all the layers (thank you, thank you, thank you!).

Thank you bunches Kiki for sharing. Can’t wait to see more of your designs!

Update – Complete Randomness

My weekend was, well, uneventful. Kinda quiet on the home front, which I enjoy, to a point. As you can see, I’ve been posting away attempting to get caught up on most of the reviews I had pending. (Thank you everyone so much for sending review copies *hugs*) Funny, I just noticed today, that I was finally added to the Fashion Feed. Go me! It only took 3 months. Hey, I’m not complaining. Just happy to be finally there!

Speaking of le blawg, I was offered a small little beachy area for the headquarters. Check out my inworld profile for the LM. Feel free to sit on the beach. I hear of some chatter about throwing parties. We may do a D-List party J Keep your eyes out for an invite.

Now for the good stuff, Tiny Empires. As you may know, I’m in the Sparta line and a direct to the King. We are a great bunch of crazy loveable people. Our group chats are … haha, you just have to get in Sparta to know what we talk about. It’s a wide range of topics … and oh yeah, we talk about Tiny Empires, sometimes. Don’t know what Tiny Empires is? Ooh – I can teach ya. Completely easy! If you want to join my line or learn more, leave me an IM inworld.

This Sums It Up

*Review* Kunglers

Kunglers have another great set of releases – Floratta & Rachel.  Floratta is a floral patterned dress with a key holed front.  Not only do I like the green/gold tones but the contrasting trim and belt. So fun!! This dress comes with gold toned earrings.  The Kungler sisters always have some sort of goodies packed with their items.

Next is the lingerie set called Rachel.  It is a bustier with panty and garter set.  I chose to show off the black and pink color set.  (Its my fav color combo! duh!)  Really its such a classy piece with the embellishments – very feminine.  Its refreshing to see lingerie from these sisters – very well done ladies!

*Review* Alchemy – Joyful

Constanza Volare of Alchemy gave me the opportunity to review her latest release called Joyful.  I choose the dress in red.  Inititally when I saw it I thought “oh cute, a red dress.” My lukewarm feelings changed when I unpacked it.  I knew I would like the sweet bellshaped skirt … but … not until I saw it on and moving, my thoughts quickly warmed up.  I adored it!  Joyful just isn’t any “red dress”.  The swing of the skirt allows a hint of black lace to show.  I even liked the black ribbon and prim bow around just below the chest – its darling. The best detail for me is the neckline.  The lace-like detailing that is scalloped along the bodice edge really adds that finished look.  Many dresses on the grid just aren’t of this excellent quality.  Alchemy has an amazing line of dresses and gowns and so much more (shoes!!).

Thank you kindly Constanza for allowing me to pick out this dress. Its really adorable.

*Review* Nyla – French Lace Lingerie

WOW! Nyla’s French Lace not only pulled out my steak of vanity but made me turn on some fans in the studio! I popped on some slow smokey jazz and started working … if you want to call this work.  I had a great time digging through the amazing colors.  I finally decided on the vanguard of sex appeal – black!  The other colors are nearly limitless (check out the store for the colors).  The lingerie comes in a demi, full cup and strapless bra (shown) – shirt and undershirt layers too.

Now for the features that complete this set.  Nyla is not only know for her mini hats but also her stunning masks. The pattern from the lingerie is repeated on the tasseled mask …and oh, has this super sheer lace overlay for the eyes … giving into that mysteriousness.  The frilly garter comes in three sizes to help with fitting across the backside and hips. Thankfully the small fit me very well and needed no sizing for my shape. (hehe I’m petite.)

Details upon details … I can’t even begin to talk about this new release from the House of Nyla … just go get it.  I instantly fell in love with it!

*Review* comme il faut & Le Salon

olivia dress (indigo)

Comme il fautis owned by Moire Georgette who was so generous to allow me to pick out review copies.  Now I could be wrong, but I think it use to be Bossa Nova. If you were a follower of Bossa Nova wear, Moire keeps that inventory alive at this new location with comme il faut and Le Salon.  Now that’s just awesome. Its nice to see a designer being true to her roots and keeping the “old” line active as so many have enjoyed it

The second is the Olivia dress in indigo.  The white flower detailing over a rich royal blue color … looking close there is even cloth marks giving that added dimension.  Moire really goes over and beyond the basic shading.  A ton of cutesy features at work - the white prim bow in the front and the toole underskirt that playfully peeks out upon movement.  The dress is ideal for any garden party, wedding or shopping (as I wore it as I went off looking for accessories).
