*Review* Designing Nicky Ree – Spider Set
Designing Nicky Ree is a fav design houses of mine due to her ability to create a “core” product and then give it many unique looks or styles. She sent over one of her latest designs called “Spider”. I received the Queen and Princess set combo. Its the pack that is loaded with all the elements. You can purchase this as the full set (shown) or in smaller sets.
I’m really amazed that the full set comes with so many pieces. Sure, large ballgown, tutu, gloves, princess skirt, hat, collar, sleeves, etc. but the skirt selection is really where its at … The skirts come in an opaque or translucent variety. When working on the pic for this post, I was trying to show each of the elements. In doing so, I found more and more styles to create just by mixing or combining the skirt elements of opaque to translucent.
What a perfect gown or dress or fun tutu to own for the Halloween season. The entire gown is covered in spiders and cobwebs. If you look closely at the tights, the same graphics are repeated along the legs. The low open front is really the show stopper with its open cobweb design and spider. The hat is translucent with a spider on the rim – way cute!

*Review* :: DUTCH TOUCH :: Skins Indie
Ever just “swoon” over something and immediately own? That’s how I felt about Iki’s newest skins. :: DUTCH TOUCH :: Skins Indie is the new collection out today for sale. Iki was way way sweet for sending them my way even before they were out. Last time, I had a reader slightly upset that I posted skins before they out for sale. This time, lesson learned, I waited
Oh ‘nuf rambling. Why did I swoon over these skins? What makes them so diff from others? First, its the diversity for Dutch Touch. The prior skins were more “sweet and innocent”. These are more me – not-so-innocent. *grin* I really have to applaud Iki for going beyond the usual for her and diving into new territory. This is what keeps designers fresh in my mind when I go shopping. Finally, more selection in skin shopping! I feel pigeoned-holed when looking for skins due to wanting a sunkissed tone Not here, the tones are excellent – it was more difficult to select what ones to show! This is rare, but I really can wear more than just one or two of the offered shades. Sure, there is a good range, the tones aren’t so drastically apart that its “odd” to wear a lighter or darker shade. Second, its Dutch Touch – duh! I really do think this store has plenty for everyone – clothing, skins, eyes, lashes and all sorts of styles. Regardless if you choose Indie or any of her other excellent skins, these skins have that flexibility and flair that really partner well with the clothing Iki has created over the year or so.
Skins are my thing. I know skins are insanely tricky to create and then to be unique from the designers own collection and then from other designers. Wow! Seriously, “Indie” does just that with the colored eye makeup and slightly pouty lip without an overdone effect with the lip color.
The skin is packaged with several different eye colors (some shown here), lashes and 3 different skins for brow options. Indie is worth every linden!

Bikini is also Dutch Touch. Hair-ETD.

{Mashup} Bows Galore!
Here’s a fashion trend that is making some strides, no pun intended, in footwear. Its the classic bow. Over the course of just a few short months, we have seen many shoe and hair designers add this femnine yet simple embellishment. Since I’ve been living in and blogging my bow hairstyles, I decided to show off some of the bow shoes I have in inventory.
The first pair is from Shiny Things. A few days ago, I saw a “coming soon” sign at the store with a teaser pic. This is what spurred this mashup. I realized that this bow thing isn’t just a few of my favorite designers but a growing trend. Another positive, the color (purple) was really the closest match for my pink jacket from Seu. Adding a classic heel to a fairly casual jeans and zip-up outfit can really add that soft feminine quality that I just love.
Second is the cutest pair that I have literally shared with my friends – who all now own a pair if not two. This pair is from Kookie. This designer is stealing the footwear scene with this adorable shoe. It comes in a menagerie of colors. Of course, I have most of them as they are all those muted gem tones, or ruby colors as I call them. This pair, just like the Shiny Things pair, works so well with a long woolly sweater and jeans. Can’t get enough of the comfy classics for the fall season (that is if you live in the northern hemi).
Lastly and certainly not least is one of my funnest and funkiest pair of stilettos. These are apart of the newest creations from the outrageously talented mind of Canimal. When I first saw these on her flickr stream, I instantly needed, not wanted but needed, them. They are so off from my usual typical shoe. They have mini skulls but still have all the elements I adore. From the frilly edging to the bow, its a great shoe.
With the Shiny Things and Canimal shoe, there is another trend – scripting color change. With a simple click, the color can change. Its like owning a fat pack with just one shoe. Canimal took this to the next level by allowing the change of the shoe pattern to removing the bow. Each of the designers’ shoes are a welcomed addition to my wildly growing collection of bow’d shoes. The only issues are: What shoes to wear and then what color bow. What a dilemma!!

*Review* ..::MAI::.. Sunset Tan Sylar Vol.3 Skin
I’m really diggin’ this skin that MiraSonia Demina of MAI sent me. Just like Luna, I have a very critical eye. I like to experience the skin with different lighting. If a skin doesn’t always look good, I won’t wear it. Its that simple. I have yet to find a “bad” light for this skin. It looks great no matter what is worn or in what type of lighting. Looking over the skin quality, checking for seam and accuracy, I found no flaws. Its hard to match and blend along seam lines. MiraSonia paid careful attention to so many things on this design as well as those seams making them flawless. The tones are even excellent. This on is a Sunset Tan. Its incredible. Also, she sent over a couple of eyes. The ones shown here are Glamour Hazel Eyes. I think I keep these for my everyday!! I really recommend anyone to check out MAI.

*Review* AyYaiYai
I would like to show some of Kailiana Anatra’s, owner of AyYaiYai, latest unisex releases. The folder was generously packed with a pair of jeans of several sweaters, blazers and shirts. First is the M.L sweater in brown. Its a great classic turtle that comes in all the different layer options. Next is a blazer called Medaja and its shown in a red ton. Both of these items are paired with AyYaiYai‘s jeans with the flare prim cuff. I’m really impressed with the quality of clothing Kailiana sent over to me. I can’t wait to see what other things this design will come up with next. Thank you again Kailiana.

*Review* Atelier Nardya Rousselot
Every girl needs to have not one but several sexy black dresses. Atelier Nardya Rousselot will help! Nardya Rousselot, the store’s owner, just released several. We all know my love affair for black and short dresses. When I saw Nardya’s flickr stream, I reached out to her to talk about the products. There is so much detail in each of the dresses … and these dresses are a just small portion of the latest releases. There are a couple of others that are just as stunning as the ones I show here.
If sexy black dresses aren’t your thing, upstairs at her store, there are amazing ballgowns. Each with its own twist on sophisticated elegance. I have my eye on a few of those for adding to my own gown arsenal.
I was really surprised to see that not only is this designer sharing her clothing talent with us, but also, she has a full line of tattoos. Seriously, they rival the best of the best.
Thanks so much, Nardya, for dropping these dress off to me. I wish you all the best! Your clothing and tattoos are fantastic! (Love the store’s build too – You really have way too much talent! I can barely link prims together. *laughs*)

*Review* WaxPoetic – Halloween Skins
Roberta Beauchamp, owner of love.love.love and WaxPoetic, recently created several hand-drawn, yes hand-drawn, Halloween skins. Berta has taken her inspiration for these skins from her own RL work. When talking to her a few weeks back about the cat skin, I thought it would be a great idea and over the top original. The concept for “Miss Kitty” is taken from the idea of when she, like me, was little, we would use a piece of burnt cork to drawn cat whiskers and nose onto our faces – you know you did it too – and you were the cat every year for Halloween!
Robotronic one is my fav … I’m just in love with the “human” eye showing through the heavily made up robotic face. Berta even has several other hand-drawn Halloween skins out at her store – Mrs Frankenstein and Undead, just to name a few. All are down in all her yummy skins tones that are named after desserts.
WaxPoetic just put out for sale the newest fall 2008 skin line. I really do think that Berta has the best smokey eyed skins. Gotta love the smokey eyes – its by far the best! I’m really proud to wear her skins around the grid. (The Cherry Jubilee skin rocks!)

*Review* – *Beauty Avatar*
I am amoung the selected bunch of fashion bloggers invited to review *Beauty Avatar*. I was kinda shocked when I received the group invitation. Its nice to be recongized by this team of designers. The other day a call was sent out to the bloggers to check out the products. Searching in the stores to find things, I ended up with this laundry list of items. As not to be so bold to submit such a long list, I paired it waaaay down. What remained, as well as other items for future reviews, was this skin and dress with plumes.
Hollywood, the name that is so fitting for the dress and dimond glittered wings, is a short skirted ensemble. Upon first glance, its a modern aline skirt with a knot is classic and clean lined. Not until I look at the skirt’s pattern did I see the cute diamonds that seem to match well with the glitter in the plumes. Very nicely done, with or without the full plumage.
SELKIS (shown in Natural Skin 21) was the very first item I saw from *Beauty Avatar*. What attracted me to the skin is the “not so pink” lip. Its just enough color to be noticed and not overpower the rest of the makeup. Even the eyes have a softness about them. The “Natural Skin 21″ is just perfect to dress up, like shown with the Holywood dress”, or pair with jeans and a sweater (my latest fav).
The cute wedge shoes called “Emma” are also from *Beauty Avatar*. They are shown in black. If black isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other colors.
*Beauty Avatar* has a plethora of amazing finds for women and men in both skins and accessories.

*Review* SkinFlicks – New Formal Mix n Match
One of my main reasons, if I was to purchase anything, it needs to be versatile. When Mavis sent over this new release from her store, SkinFlicks, I knew it would be good. I just didn’t realize I would have an issue containing my pixels! Its all about what’s your mood tonite. If you are looking for a long classic formal gown or a short sassy dress, its all about SkinFlicks new formal mix and match. What you see below is only a small sample of the different choices with the pieces. I am loving that I can completely change the look and feel of this very stunning design. The attention to detail, something Mavis is known for, is second to none. The textures and prims blend seamlessly. Ok, I need to stop or this gushing will go on forever. You get it, I am in love with this! Now where is that man in my slife … he needs to take me and this gown out dancing!
