{mashup} Basically Outrageous

I love color blocking.  Its cake to put a few simple colors together.  Adding outrageous elements will help set it apart and allowing personally to shine.  This mashup I added some of the current items in my Reviews folder and those inventory that I haven’t ever worn.  This is all stemming from Ketsy’s challenge to not spend anything!  This look is super easy to recreate.  Let’s get to rambling details that I tend to give:

The hair is one that I tend not use due to the original color tones.  I wasn’t a fan of the softer browns.  To fix that, I recolored the whole damn thing.  Choosing a darker brown/chestnut tone helped with the soft glow effect the hair “naturally” had for some reason.  This glow tends to illuminate the center of the bun making it appears lighter.  Not a fan. But! I was able to work with it.  The height of the bun works so well with the new mini hat from Canimal. Flipping it to the other side of the head so it sits on the bang part, it adds that hint of “oh”.  With the long swooping bang, it leads right into that overly dramatic lash.  How do you not just love an element that makes eye makeup pop.  This Chai Skin is brandie new and something I don’t tend to wear – red lips!  The red blends right into that popped collar of the mini velvet jacket with wide  white cuffs.  To many mini jackets can be found in my inventory.  This jacket is part of a completed outfit by Invalde. Due to the slight shortness of the shirt and the lowness of the skirt, I added in an undies layer of my fav white tank.  It hides that skin line so well since its so tiny. I guess that’s my perfectionist side coming out!

The skirt I must have had for at least a year.  Its from SLink and great basic element.  A simple black skirt is really the corner stone of the well rounded inventory.  Another element should be good hose.  I have a buldging folder of hosiery but none can beat the work of Battered Boudior.  The fishnets, and all her hose, are seamless and flawless.  Its super cute when paired with legwarmers.  I had to dig deep for these as they were completely misfiled in my inventory.  Glad I found them as they go so perfectly with the new release from [Riddle]. Animal print shoes tend to pack a punch of drama just like those lashes!

With the huge sale, I have been hesitant to add ETD pieces.  Really I have just given up and sucked it up, I love what I bought and why not show it off!  The bag is a great value (which I bought before the sale) and ended up buying the ginormous pack at the sale.  Its a great idea to have all the colors for dirt cheap.  Also, it comes with an AO designed for bag holding.  Its terrific to find great value with versatility.
