*Review* Indyra Originals: La Capitaine

Indyra Originals is another of my long time fav designers.  I’ve been following Indyra Seigo since … well … since I started doing this whole fashion blogging thing over two years ago. She’s gone from a medium sized store to her own sim that exemplifies her style.  When you visit Indyra Originals, you will see all her gowns, costumes, lingerie, clothing and shoes. She has a laundry list of creations.

One of the newest releases is call La Capitaine.  How adorable is this dress?!  I’ve been having a great time wearing it to several different events … and even on a few personal flickr pics.

La Capitaine comes in several colors all with the gloves (two cuff options), the jacket and dress.  The skirt dress has to be the highlight to the entire piece … that is after I got past the mini jacket. We all know how much I love the mini jackets! Ok, back to the skirt, its a well-designed with the many layers under the main skirt.  Even the texture is hard not to like, its full of its own detailing to make it look that much more flouncy.

Check out the shoes. I’ve been wearing these since they came out almost a year ago.  I’ve received so many compliments!  Again, these come in various colors.

*Review* *Kookie* Shoes & Clothing

Kookie Lemon of *Kookie*, most notably known for her adorable shoes and boots has recently branched out into making clothing.  I’ve always enjoyed seeing when designers go beyond what they are known for to try new things.  Kookie has done just that, she’s started off creating simple tanks.  The best part: they are made on all the shirt pant layers!!

If trying her hand at clothing wasn’t enough, she kept up with her regular gig and released two new shoes. The shoes are inline with the new fade: Prim Feet.  The Chic Heels (shown in Creamy Latte) can be worn with or without the laceup option.  Also, there even is a bow for the shoe.  I choose the bowless version.

The next shoe release is called Vogue.  This pair unlike the Chic Heel has the full prim foot.  What made me do a double take on this pair was the “missing” heel.  Altho not really missing, the heeless shoe is the real design.  Kinda like having something that makes people turn their heads for the second look.

Before I wrap up the review chatter, the shoe HUD used to color the toes and tint the skin is unique.  The wearable HUD is so simple and, never thought I would say this about a HUD, but its beautiful with its nice art work. The skin tinting is cake; just rez the skin tone ball and a few simple clicks later, the skin tone matches.  It was so easy, I couldn’t beleive it and kept reading the included “how to” notecard.

I’m really liking all these new releases.  Kookie has out done herself! Keep up the great work, I’m looking forward to more new things!! Check out *Kookie*.

*Review* Primitive Design

Primitive Design has been one of those “off the radar” design houses that I just love and think they just don’t get enough exposure.  Geyer Schnyder, owner of Primitive Design, brings to the SL fashion market a wide range of urban grunge that is and isn’t in extreme.  Its well done, subtle and packs a punch.  The designs that are shown here by Express and myself is only a small sampling for what you can find in his store.

What I really like about Primitive Design is the rich textures.  The detailing is just amazing; simple and well done.  The colors Geyer uses are even expressive.

There is even a small, and growing, section of graphic tees (my new guilty pleasure with those pants I show here). I like that I can find tons of basics … and several unique pieces that all blend together or look awesome mixed with my outfits.  Oh yeah, Primitive Design has a kinda cool section of accessories … I’m hoping for more!

Its rare to find a designer that does men and women clothing so well. Glad to have Primitive Design in my closet!

*Review* – BEBAE – Delilah

Today BEBAE released a beautiful new skin line called Delilah.  This collection compliments Torie Senne’s talents.  Overal the skin is well blended and flawless.

The makeups, not unlike the other lines, have a soft hue to them.  There is a total of eight makeups to choose from that in include 2 eyebrow color tints (light and dark). What I was very happy to see is the white “halo” missing from the T-zone of the face.  With this element gone, the face has a much more softer apparence.  (The white halo is a pet-peeve of mine as I find it distracting from the makeup.)

I do recommend is joining BEBAE‘s inworld group.  With the launch of this skin, the group received the skin in the four skin tones (Caramel, Cinna, Coco and Creme). I don’t see an enrollment fee for this group either, making it that much more worth joining!!

*Review* Mischief Dresses

I was just talking to a friend of mine saying how I don’t have many mini casual dresses… and then I see Mischief’s new releases.  I couldn’t be any happier.  April Showers and Kaylee fit perfectly into my growing collection.

Kaylee is a retro printed strapless dress created in bold gem tones.  April Showers is a halter topped dress with polka-dots in pastel colors. Both are created using all the layers, except the undershirt layer – perfect for adding jackets or other embellishments. Check out the pics for some of the available colors.

*Review* (Elate!) Siliva

(Elate!) has a new release today called Siliva.  Its a perfect mini dress with whimsical stripes.  Its rather nice to see a cute halter dress that is simple and sweet. I love the color choices. The blue was given to her group earlier today.  I recommend joining the update group at the mainstore.

Also, there is a contest until May 15th. Here are the details:
- Submit a picture wearing any clothing from (Elate!). Feel free to mix in acessories or clothing items by other designers, but please try to make the (Elate!) piece the focus.
- Post processing is welcome and encouraged.
- Send your full permission photos in a folder (NOT a notecard) entitled “(Elate!) Photo Contest – your name”
- Make sure photos are at least 512 x 512.
- You may submit as many photos as you wish, but try to send them all in the same folder.

A small Story

You have no idea how lazy I am! But I wanted to tell you something, so I am doing just half of a post! LoL You are now wonder “half?”! Yeah, no outfit pictures, just a quick story! Better view large!

After my shower, I put on one of my favourite lingerie sets – the Cherry Crush – and lay down in my bed reading a magazine! After reading the magazine, I dressed up to go to grosserie! That’s when my phone rang! It was Luna, and she was daring me to do something! I can’t tell you what she was challenging me to do, but I promise you if I am able to do it, you will see it here! I left my house, grab my bike and left the safe zone to try accomplish my mission…

Next episode will be about me doing it or not! We’ll see…

All my clothes are from Ornamental Life Shop! Shir Dryke is doing a SPRING SALE, and I have to tell you, she has the brightest collours, the crazy combinations and my favourite hand draw textures! It is on until Sunday, so go grab everything, ‘cuz it is totally worth it!

And I have to talk about my hair! Truth Hawkes is my GOD! I have an obsession with this guy! This hair he just made – Willow – it’s beyond awesome! I am in love with him… I mean it!

*Review* Skin Flicks – Sydney

I was so excited to see the new release from Skin Flicks today. Sydney has to be one of my favs.  I can’t get over all the options.  I kept going back to the folders and seeing more and more combos and possibilities.  I still don’t I got a snap of them all but you get the idea.  Skin Flicks over the past year or so that I have seen has been getting better and better.  The quality has increased ten-fold and, well, as you can see, the options are endless.

Like most of my reviews I keep the accessories to a minimum to show off the clothing.  I really had to resist adding silver bangles or even a super femmy tattoo to the mix.  Ok ok, I will stop gushing. Go check out Skin Flicks for yourself.

To The Beach!

I don’t know about you all …. but I’m so set to hit the beach!  For my RL location, the warm weather is on its way and its time to think about the summer and the shore.  Yeah, here, again in RL, we call it “down the shore”.  Its a local saying meaning we are going to the beach.  Regardless of the beach’s location to you, its always said “down the shore”.  Growing up, the shore was due east, not south, and still we said that were going down the shore. Another fav is when you ask where someone is, the response is “they’re down the shore” (of course spoken like Sly Stallone (aka Rocky) since I grew up in the Philadelphia region).  Many uses and still weird to folks that aren’t native to my hometown.  Ok, I digress.

I would so wear this for travelling to the shore.  Yup, even the big hat. Ya gotta protect your skin in the summer sun at all times.  So let’s hit up the hat first. For weeks I wanted this hat, I saw it on someone in a store, inspected it and found it was from Cachet.  Like a dope I had no clue MMS, as it was called at the time, was closed for renovations and TP’d over to the store, without sucess. So I waited until they reopened. See I do have patience!

Next are several finds from yesterday shopping trips. [ATOMIC] was having a huge skin sale, I just had to snag another skin.  Gawd my skin collection is getting out of hand. Still I wanted, and I now have this cute skin. It has soft freckles too, perfect for summer. Another sale was over at *BOOM*.  Yup, I took advantage of all the awesome sales! The long shirt is part of a bikini but works great with the tweed pants.  Instead of the bikini top, that would be too easy, I swapped it out for a tube top.  It works great since the front of the tweed pants are low slung and the tube top is cut short, its all covered.  Still it shows a tint of belly.

The hair and accessories is what really finishes the look.  I choose one my favs from the new >TRUTH< collection, Sehra. The only true color in this outfit is the pink flower. It gives a focal point to the overall look without overpowering the muted khakis and pale creams. For just a slight more drama, I added a chunky bracelet from Artilleri and a cute little choker I found last nite.

I just heard the [ATOMIC] main store is reopened, so you can find me there this morning!  After that, I ‘m going to the beach!!  ciao!
