*Review* HUZ Tats

Here’s a slight break from my norm. Rare for me to review tattoos but this I couldn’t resist. Since HUZ Tats came into the fashion scene, this store has capture my attention immediately. This is exactly what I look for in tattoos: black-work, shadowing and options.  The options are not only all the clothing layers but the style. Each tattoo has an original (dark, heavy look) and faded (softer look). With the henna, they come in original (the henna red/brown color) and black.  With those you also will receive in faded and original.  To help show off the tattoos, I heading over to Nasha’s, the lounge on Zaara’s sim.

*Review* [PXL] Kim

I’ve been blogging PXL for quite some time. With each release I get more and more excited.  Kim, the newest release, is no exception. The best part for me is the lips. They are lined and smudged to appear as if so very natural.  Even the makeups with the red lips are just as perfectly tuned.

Oh yeah, I got Express into these skins too! Before you imagine him in chick skins, altho pretty funny, [PXL] has a just as popular guy skin line. The male skins are just as smooth with a hint of roughness.  Express was completely blown away, and I was too, at how incredible the skins are for men.

Also, with the launch of Kim, Hart Larsson, owner of [PXL] has decided to revamp the pricing. Yes you heard me right. There is brand new price for all the skins and fat packs.  If you are like me, skins are a huge investment. Buying the fat pack is seriously a much thought about action. Not anymore! Here’s the pricees for the Kim line (much like the other skins):

*Review* [Decoy]

Lots of goodness from [Decoy]! Annette Voight has been quite busy for the last few weeks. First was the long dress called Marisol. The dress comes in ten different colors all ranging from vivid neutrals to eye popping colors. The best part of the dress it comes with several options for the tank. Yes the tank is wearable if you aren’t in the mood for a full length skirt. This tank is offered in all sorts of layers including one on each of the pants and underpants layer. So layer away with all those other fabulous buys you have [Decoy].

626To give an example and to show off more [Decoy], here’s a super quick look.  Using simple colors like white and yellow, I paired the white jeans (undies layer), white sweater (jacket layer), and white/yellow tank (shirt layer with the pants layer for that untucked look). This also shows not only how awesome the butt looks in the jeans that I have loved for so many months now but also all the colors match regardless of when they were created. Its a pet-peeve of mine. [Decoy]’s colors rarely change, which for me, is a good thing. Whenever I bought something I know in a few months when I find something else to layer, it will certainly match!

Now if you aren’t a real fan of the long dress, the tank is available as a separate and in all the layers as I described before. There are more color options in the single tank as well.  The colors are unique and just as yummy.

The last of the clothing releases is the horizontal off the shoulder shirt.  Again, its available in all sorts of colors and in all the layers.  Off-the-shoulder shirts have been my latest craving.  It looks so sexy with the new hair.

I told you Annette has been busy … she even created several hairs.  The textures, just like her clothing, are simply amazing.  These three featured in this post are available at Hair Fair. ShopaholicFeed Update

Several big things have happened and are planned for the ShopaholicFeed Network.  One big one was increasing performance. We did some database work and now have the feeds syndicating at a quicker rate.  What does this mean, and I so hope I get this right, is that our feeds look to the blogs quicker and more efficiently.  We have a better page load as well.  Express, our resident Wed Master, can totally explain it better but for now consider this a Luna-ism.  Please don’t shoot me if I didn’t explain it right, this is why I have Express!

*Review* LAQ Skins – Claudia

Skin 001 This new release, Claudia, from Laqroki really wow’d me this time around.  Sure I have liked, purchased and worn others in the past but this one is more unique. Something about it I just love.  From the lips with the sweet little pucker to the hazey glow that extends down the body, its going to be in the everyday rotation.  The makeups I had the pleasure of seeing are all beautifully muted and soft. Making them all perfect for any thing from casual to formal looks. Even the eyebrows are just perfect for these makeups.  They truly compliment the face. Just to show off the skins a little more than my usual routine, I have a 3/4 body shot with an upper pic.  In both you can see those things that I pointed out in this review.  I never ever touch up my shots for skin reviews (or for that matter, really any of my reviews). Seriously, these skins are that good! I did choose to show only one tone. Don’t let that stop you from heading to Laqroki to see the other tones or even other skin lines.  TP to the store: Laqroki

My Hair Fair

Even with blogger access the pre-opening night at the Hair Fair, I still found myself hitting the fair several times over the weekend.  What can I say? Its not Hair Fair without the mass of peoples on the sims.  Express and I had a great time revisiting all the vendors and meeting so many people as we waited at the sim crossings.

The fair, for me, was incredibly fun. I found a ton of my favorite designers and fell in love with new ones. The amount of people on the sims was very manageable.  Each booth, some more crowded than others, still were accessible.  My inventory is bursting at the seams. I’m not sure if I will ever be able to sort through it all even with my OCD for organization.

As I attempt to organize, it was a good excuse to put some outfits together and take pics. I may not be a photographer but I do enjoy using PS. Thanks to Express who shows me all these cool little tricks … and for his computer screen so I can be insanely jealous that he has a better version of PS.

Express even crashed my shoot this afternoon. He’s such a brat.  Then I saw him in the Tiny Bird hair. The dark tones are so yummy! Tiny Bird is new on the scene so its kinda nice to see this new-comer be on the same playing field with hair veterans like Truth or Magika.

The Grass

With a lighter Linden balance, I left the fair extremely happy with all my purchases. If you didn’t get in, keep trying. Hair Fair is going on for a few more weeks. Keep in mind, several people have really put in some serious work into this fair for everyone to enjoy. I would suggest if you have a gripe, don’t just bitch about it rather offer a work-around for next year. This is for charity after all. Make it fun and help improve the experience.  Next time you visit, keep that in mind.

With that said – a huge thank you goes out to the whole Hair Fair team. Amazing work!! I can’t wait to see the final total to be donated to Locks of Love.

hmm … I do blog here. Well look at that.  Let me tell you alittle about tonight’s adventure. Express just had to drag me out for some shopping. I know it sounds odd but really he was all “Dude. Shop.” *sigh* Fine. I gave in. I could hear Luna laughing at me in the background. Anyway, first stop was Zaara’s for the awesomeness that is all things Zaara.  After teasing Berry, I picked up the fat pack of the new chinos for a mere $775.  The best part – they’re unisex so Luna can squeeze her big ol’ bottom in them too.

review266Since I only had on my pink panties from the last time I was at Zaara’s, I tossed on the chinos instantly. Before I can ask “Where to next, Boss”, Express had on the newness from .:StoRin:..  I was totally jealous until he reminded me that I also had a package waiting in my inventory. Yup, gotta love that pretty little girl, Annah!

She recently got into the whole Men’s clothing line … and I love her for it. The argyle sweater is called Leo and the third creation for .:StoRin:. Men. Now these won’t be out until tomorrow. I recommend stalking the store until they are released.

I’m off to watch over the chickens since Luna’s being lazy. At least I can read the ShopaholicFeed Network and wait for the votes to come in on The Throwdown.

Love me some Skin: Dutch Touch & Free Speerit

review265 Dutch Touch just released brand new skins today called FoResT. They come in in 6 tones and numerous makeups. I’m pretty happy to see my tone. Not that  don’t like the other pale ones. There is something about this tone that I really enjoy. Rare that I ever need to tweak my shape for any skins. Dutch Touch has always complimented my shape. FoResT is the one I will wear more often. review264 Next, I’m really excited to show the latest update to Kimberly from Free Speerit. That’s right, its not a new line but a huge addition to the already established and well loved Kimberly collection.  I find this approach to skins unique. Releases like these give those who like the line wanting more and yet luring new customers to the collection. With the new release, Free Speerit has made the eyebrows to be tintable. Since I didn’t show it here, you have to see the bum on this skin – amazing!  Skin Shown: FS Skin – Kimberly (Butterfly)(Shaved)

By the way, the lingerie shown is the new set from Insolence. It’s called Caroline and comes in several light/pale colors. The panty is a french-cut type.

Just Me Being Me

I’ve been a slacker lately when it comes to creating a “look of the day”. SLife has been crazy. We are constantly added more and more bloggers to the ShopaholicFeed and of course new ads are getting posted almost daily.

Here’s a few of the items I collected when I was out shopping last. I mixed them with several old favs for a campy cute look. Really simple, casual and perfect for everyday attire. I’m off to hatch my chickens (don’t tell Express I have them; he will be mad!) and to finish adding bloggers to the feeds.

Annah Whitfield, my beloved friend and owner of .:StoRin:., has started to design for the guys. She is starting out with some basics – a tee and a collared shirt. Both come in a wide range of colors and in all the layers. Yes, guys can have all the layers too … finally!
