*Review* Cupcakes Skins

Scarlet has been for the last several months my go-to for dark tones. When I heard of the limited edition at Cupcakes in the group notices, I first thought it would be just another skin for my own collection. It did make it to my collection but needed it to be added to Scarlet’s. The dark tones are very rich, warm and just perfect for her.

*Review* :: Exodi :: Lily “Oldies But Goodies”

I did this pic last night and never planned to blog it. It was just for fun. Today when browsing my flickr, it really struck me, this pic, in my opinion, really shows the softness of the skin.

Exodi has become one of the most common skins I tend to wear. Of course, this makes it one of the most blogged skin brands blogged for me.

This skin, “Oldies But Goodies”, is packed with unique makeups. Yes some are not my typical looks while others are truly me. This is why I’m really enjoying this pack. It shows eight of the best makeups offered.  I found a few, like this one (Cygne Noir), that I didn’t see before (not sure why, its just stunning).

Another great little feature: regular and faded makeups. I don’t think I have seen this type of feature used lately (or before) in skins. What a terrific idea! You can purchase single skins (800L) or the fat packs in either faded or regular makeups.

Exodi has a freebie too in case you’re new to brand and want to do a test run before buying. I really don’t think you will be disappointed.

Press Release: Modavia’s Fashion Photographer of the Year award

Modavia creates new Fashion Photographer of the Year award

October 28, 2009 – Modavia, publisher of the Modavia Fashion Directory, announced today that the company will be creating a new award to recognize outstanding accomplishment in the field of fashion photography. The FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR title, which will be awarded annually, will be open to all SL photographers and will be judged across three categories: 1) Haute Couture, 2) Street and 3) Boudoir.

Judges will include designers, fashion magazine editors and Modavia editorial staff. Just cuz

I was sent a great little package from Barcode, Makenzie Irling’s store. Barcode was a tiny little shop with a few tees for guys and girls but now its a growing clothing line full of great finds. Here’s her most recent work called “Mom Sweater” that has a button-down under sweater shirt.

At first this post was going to review Barcode but then it went in the direction of a mashup. I saw that purple tone and wanted dark grey. Then came the boots … and well, the outfit was created. I’m very much into using things currently in my inventory. As much as I love to shop, most of the items never get worn. So why not show it off when I can.

Of course, after finding the outfit came the background. For today’s post, I used, again items I had in my inventory but also something new. This “something new” comes from Not Too Shabby prefabs. The little house is called “No Place Like Home Cottage”. Its really quite darling with its jewel-tone walls and rich textures. Its perfect for this post.
