Happy Things: Pink

Over the past few weeks dealing with RL issues, I’ve noticed I’ve not smiled as much as I normally do. In efforts to make my smile reappear, I’m starting a series called Happy Things. Simply put, its posts of things that make me happy. These posts can range from a color, like this one, to things around me or material items. The “happy” could be of a moment or from inspiration of those around me.

For my first Happy Things pose is about the color pink. Not all colors of pink make me smile but only the bold passionate ones and those that are so pale they’re nearly white. I’ve even put pink in my store.

I hope to do more posts soon. This project, for me, is very similar to my Dream Big List as its a type of personal journey.

PXL: Dafne

Hart Larsson, owner of PXL, has just released this beauty named Dafne. She comes in 4 tones with 27 makeups. I know was completely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of skins.

Let’s breakdown the skin options:
4 tones: LightTan, SunKissed, Natural, Pale
3 brows: Dark, Medium, Light
7 lip colors: Nude, Pale, Bronze, Pink, Wine, Rose, Passion
3 eye makeups: Nude, GLAMt, Extreme

To shop for these skins, it can be daunting since there are so many to choose. If you don’t instantly opt for the fat packs and rather pick a few you like, here’s a quick way to choose:
1 – Find the tone right for you
2 – Pick the makeup that jumps out at you at first glance
3 – Choose the one (or the packs) you like best

You’ll notice I didn’t mention eyebrow in those quick steps. In each purchase, you’ll receive:
a – 3 skins (one in each brow color)
b – Freckles (on a tattoo layer)
c – Cleavage (on a tattoo layer and an undershirt)

This is what I love about PXL: a ton of options and plenty bang for your buck with every purchase.

Hair Fair Charity

The hair fair is just around the corner! The chosen charity is Wigs for Kids. I didn’t know much about this charity so I did a bit of googling.

Wigs For Kids is not on Charity Navigator and do not have a lot of information in their The Better Business Bureau’s Charity Review. There is a lot more information on their Network For Good profile though.

The organization was mentioned in a few guides for donating hair, as in this one on Ehow and this one on About.com. They also rank high in search engines for searches related to hair donation.

Finally, one good thing I saw on their site is that every single hairpiece Wigs For Kids makes is given to a child and their family free of charge.

Plurky Blogger: Oldies but Goodies

Over the next I-don’t-know-how-long-but-a-good-while, I’m participating in the Plurky Blogger challenge put forth by Alysha Rennahan. I’ve added a category as well so you can follow along as its planned to have several post challenges in the month and a bonus.

The first challenge is Oldies but Goodies. Sure I can post my Last Call faves but that felt like an easy post for me. I’ve deleted so much of my past, as one should since there have been so many advancements. What’s basically survived are things I found by checking the acquired date on the items. Plurkie Love

In the past few days maybe even in the past week or so I’ve been MIA on the blogging scene. What better way to come out of my blogging funk than with one of my favorite blog types – Look of the Day.

This outfit was styled for the plurk party centered about Glee. I’m not a Gleek but the party theme was fun with a terrible crashing sim. However it was in the best spirit!

Plurk is great for those hermits who secretly love being social, like me. I love being on plurk. Full of drama, chaos and made a ton of great friends who offer a ton of support … even met someone very special nearly 2 years ago. Sign up for plurk here.

Dream Big List

Over the last few days I’ve been hearing of bucket lists. These lists are focused on things to do before one dies. My list won’t be a bucket list rather a Dream Big List. I don’t want to focus on the lack of time or the act of checking off items. My list are things to celebrate and for me to be proud. I’ve decided to bring you on the adventure that will surely be created from my Dream Big List.

Sharing this list renders me open and vulnerable to so much. The best part to all this, its my list. Its something that’ll grow with me and allow for additions, never subtractions. Once its written and shared, it becomes a goal. Its not just any goal but ones I’ve thought about for some time.

For these blog posts, as they might not be daily or monthly, but surely will be, I’ve created a category along the sidebar for ease of following. The posts could be the actual achievement or just thoughts as I stretch for the dream.

Let’s get started with three of my very large and lofty dreams for SL that I’ve already accomplished:

Sure they might be easy achievements for some, for me they were huge milestones and I’ve dreamed of them for such a long time. As things are achieved, there is room for additions as new dreams abound.

The Truth in Color

Hey all – I know you are overloaded with your new hair from the Truth sale. I know that you are getting the all color fat packs.
