Accessory Fair 2010: EarthStones

The Accessory Fair is just days away and the designers, like the AF team, are all a buzz. I’m thrilled to be able to share one of the items that’ll be released at the fair. This is from EarthStones and called Hera Diamond Earrings, shown here in spice, will surely be a hit for this designer. Each earring is 255 prims! I still don’t know how Abraxxa isn’t blind from working with so many tiny prims.

I was lucky enough to get a quick chat in with her last night. She’s hoping to release a matching rin. Not to push Abraxxa but I hope she does! I’m really looking forward to making this into a set.

~teaser~ {Zaara} New Jewelry

{Zaara} will be packed tomorrow I just know it! There are a few new necklaces to be released. Here’s one:

Vanisri wrapped necklace in onyx has to be my fav out of what I have seen already. Even the back is awesome … I love the intrigue of jewelry that has a front and back. What I’m not 100% sure of how many colors will be available. I’m hoping to pick up a few other colors so I can wear them with a wide variety of outfits. Zaara always uses the best color palette! *Review* Rebel Hope Designs & RH Engel Jewelry

Its rare to see me in a gown, let alone one seen here on the blog. I was really quite excited to see RH and Rebel sharing their creations with me. (I just hope I did them justice!)

I’m not surprised to see this longtime partnered designing duo come together for such a beautiful product called Ginger. The jewelry really compliments the gown … and vice versa. Yes, they can be worn seperately but really, why would you want to break up the set?!

Also, through the fashion grape vine, I hear there is a skin for this set as well. Exodi has a new skin (not shown here but rather here with product close ups) that was designed just for Ginger. I love when designers get together!

*Review* Insolence & Dark Mouse

Nothing makes a girl feel more like a girlie-girl than jewelry and lingerie. INOSOLENCE and Dark Mouse both had beautiful releases this weekend. Here are just a sampling from both of their collections:

INSOLENCE released Emily Tulle which is a base white full-seated panty, demi style bra and corset set. The only hints of color is on the flowers and trim – 6 colors to choose. Created on all the layers except the jacket layer. The best element other than being completely adorable is that the layers are sheer until you add in the other layers. Less the layers, the more sheer the look. Kinda nice for lingerie! (shown: Emily Green Set by INSOLENCE, Emily Pink Set by INSOLENCE, Emily Lavander Set by INSOLENCE)

Dark Mouse released Black and White Drama set. Its looks like grey/white and black pearls paired with floral embellishments. The items are sold separately. Since I have entire set, its bracelets (for the left and right wrists), a necklace (chest and spine attachment points), earrings, and a cocktail ring. I’ve been looking for a bold but yet classic set like this for some time.

*Review* wtf?!

Ok since I’m all sorts of lagged from RL travel, I’ve decided to do something new for my review for this one time. Its hard to just review hair, accessories or one item, like a tee. Its hard without sounding, as a SCD SL Secret says, like a “pooping rainbows” fashion blogger (#8 if you check out the link and laugh like I did). I have to agree, its gagging sometimes. I guess that’s why I don’t blog everything I receive. Ok I really shouldn’t blog since I’m overly tired from travelling. Oh well. This will be good, promise. Just laugh as I ramble.

EarthStones. Lets see, well, umm, I like it. What do I like. Well, umm, I don’t know, what do you say about a strand of beads on a string with a knot in the middle? Ok lemme talk about the colors. There are a ton. I selected “Labradorite”. Sadly, I had no clue what that was (I’m proudly stupid) - thank goodness for google. Labradorite is a mineral. Kinda a cool color too huh? Wow that sounded flakey. We all know Earthstones and her designs. We all like them. Its great quality. Size Scripted? Yup. Cool stones and colors? Yup. You gonna check out her store? Yup.

The jewelry set’s color matches well with this tee I found in my “review” folder. Feeling like its a good jeans and tee linda day, I pulled on this simple black tee. Yes, I’m a comfy clothes person but not really a skulls kinda chick. Oddly, I do like this shirt. Its black, one of my fav colors, with white skulls and a splash of teal. Trix’ and Treats had given me other cool little tees but I won’t share them. They are for me to hord. *grin*

Lastly, I was passed some of the newness from Eat Rice!. Sometime late last week, Ellie Celt told me I couldn’t blog brag about the hair until after her NexCore show yesterday. So now get to show it off here.

Any rainbows? Was that ok? Not to bad right? right. Ok, I’m off to RL. Thanks to the designers for allowing me to blog these items and let me ramble about their products. Thanks!!

*Review* EarthStones Jewelry – Sylvan

There are very very few jewelers I follow in SL. I mean, like, 3. EarthStones is one of them and the longest known to me. EarthStones‘ designer, Abraxxa Anatine, just released fantastic newness … or as she calls it “stuffage”. I adore her cute personality … it really matches her designs. This new release, Sylvan, lends itself so well to her and her immense collection.

I have to admit, when I saw “bracelet” appear in that little blue inventory give box, I instantly thought “oh great, another bangle”. WOW – I was shocked to see it was a double bracelet. FINALLY! I mean, finally… a designer did a bracelet. How utterly refreshing. My little pixelated wrists thank her!

Since I was having a brainfart when Abraxxa and I were talking, she had to remind me that her new stuffage has a fit script. Yup, scripted to help fit your shape. Thank goodness – I hate belts for that reason – they never fit. I don’t think I have any EarthStone jewelery that I have have any fitting (or any) issues with thus far. Gotta love that, right?!

To help hightlight the belt and matching double bracelet I kept it ubber casual – basic tank and saude jacket with jeans. I’m totally going out to meet friends in this … so off I go (I’m already late … geez, I’ve gotten bad!).

*Review* Kunglers New Releases

I was fortunate to receive this week’s releases from Kunglers a day early. I instantly fell in love with Paradise. I really enjoy this fun casual look. The jeans are distressed and paired with a colorful tank. It even comes with matching bangles!

Ellen is the other fantastic release. Tons of great features on this tee length dress. This dress looks fabulous even in the back with the gather detail on the top. The front is highlighted with a deep plunging neckline and prim bow. There is amazing detailing on the skirt with a slight hint of gold.

Thank you Barbra for allowing me to review these items earlier. You ladies are really amazing … your creations are starting to find their way into my mashups. Thank you again!

*Review* Persona

love Myllie Writer of Persona once again captured my attention when she gave me the fat packs of jewelry called “Mighty Heart”. At first I thought it would be the typical bracelet, earrings and or necklace set. Wow was I wrong!

Three different bangle options – stacked, paired and single. The earrings are hoops with the heart charm. And the final piece is the necklace that hangs low attachable to spine or chest (BOTH options are in the pack). FInally a fatty fat pack!!

The metal tones are gold, silver, bronze. Bronze is the hot new color this season (and looking to continue for next season). Not only used in jewelry but clothing and shoes … its going to be the new silver for accessories!

To show off the bracelets, I used her new clothing release called “Mollie”. This shirt comes in several beautiful colors … and again the purchase is packed! A tank (shirt layer), the tank bottom for the untucked look and a overshirt (jacket layer). All these options come in a light and dark tone. That’s right *six* items!

I paired the white “Mollie” with my fav pair of cuffed pants (“Itaparica”) that I had in my “closet” for the longest time. The pants pack can in dark grey, brown, light grey. Again, Myllie knows how to packager her designs … the best part – the price! All her items are affordable … can’t get any better than that – woohoo!

*Review* Aphrodite Creations

Check out Aphrodite Outlander’s store, Aphrodite Creations, for the latest releases of “Jolly Dolly” and “Holly Dolly”. Both of the darling baby doll tops are done in rich jewel tones with a sweatheart neckline. The “skirt” of the top is like a chiffon overlay that sways when you walk, not stiff like the others I’ve seen.

Last week I had the pleasure of chatting with her about her lashes and those so cute “braceys” she dropped on me. The lashes and “braceys” were shown in prior posts. Rarely do I take off the lashes for my everyday look.

Aphrodite Creations is store I would run to for shoes … and wow the color selection. Aphrodite was the first designer to help me break that “black shoes” trend. Now its becoming that “one stop shop” for me … I still have a few of her V-neck sweaters I proudly call favs! (Ok I will admit I’m an AC groupie!)
