Welcome to the Jewelry Fair!

We’re open from Friday September 18th to Sunday September 27th.  Please TP in using a random choice from these 8 landmarks so we can divide up the traffic and help reduce lag.

The fair is designed as a continuous hedge maze – there are no dead ends, and if you keep walking in one direction you’ll get through the whole thing.

Our chosen charity is Oxfam – you can read more about them at www.oxfam.org – and we’re giving you lots of opportunities to help out.

Features:

*Dunk Tank – dunk a Jeweler (or a Linden!) for charity
*Kissing booth – kiss a Jeweler for charity
*one of a kind auctions – bid on original jewelry pieces never to be owned by anyone else on the grid
*jeweler resources area – how to make your own jewelry!
*demonstrations and classes on jewelry making (schedule handed out at the fair)

Many of our vendors are selling special pieces which 50% of the money goes directly to charity.

My Hair Fair

Even with blogger access the pre-opening night at the Hair Fair, I still found myself hitting the fair several times over the weekend.  What can I say? Its not Hair Fair without the mass of peoples on the sims.  Express and I had a great time revisiting all the vendors and meeting so many people as we waited at the sim crossings.

The fair, for me, was incredibly fun. I found a ton of my favorite designers and fell in love with new ones. The amount of people on the sims was very manageable.  Each booth, some more crowded than others, still were accessible.  My inventory is bursting at the seams. I’m not sure if I will ever be able to sort through it all even with my OCD for organization.

As I attempt to organize, it was a good excuse to put some outfits together and take pics. I may not be a photographer but I do enjoy using PS. Thanks to Express who shows me all these cool little tricks … and for his computer screen so I can be insanely jealous that he has a better version of PS.

Express even crashed my shoot this afternoon. He’s such a brat.  Then I saw him in the Tiny Bird hair. The dark tones are so yummy! Tiny Bird is new on the scene so its kinda nice to see this new-comer be on the same playing field with hair veterans like Truth or Magika.

The Grass

With a lighter Linden balance, I left the fair extremely happy with all my purchases. If you didn’t get in, keep trying. Hair Fair is going on for a few more weeks. Keep in mind, several people have really put in some serious work into this fair for everyone to enjoy. I would suggest if you have a gripe, don’t just bitch about it rather offer a work-around for next year. This is for charity after all. Make it fun and help improve the experience.  Next time you visit, keep that in mind.

With that said – a huge thank you goes out to the whole Hair Fair team. Amazing work!! I can’t wait to see the final total to be donated to Locks of Love.

Miss me?!

Remmy me?! I haven’t written in so long … yes I know. SLife for me lately has been spent on at Kindly, getting ready for my 1-year party and well the usual shopping.

1-Year Rezz Party
What an utter blast!! I had so much fun … of course my awesome friend Bannock Ogg was spinning tunes. He even closed the party with a Blues set just for me!!

Shopping
I have been looking for more unique places to shop. I have found Etched, DarkEden, Kyoot Army and newly opened Armidi. Ducky and I toured the Fashion Victim sim for their treasure hunt … despite the awful lag – it was a blast! That sim is loaded with awesome store, great treats for the hunt and wacky pose balls for pics.

New Direction – New Flavor – Still Pink!

By now y’all have realized I don’t blog about fashion anymore … I still utterly adore shopping, accessories, fashion and looking hawt *winks* but really … can’t write about it anymore. Don’t know why … maybe my tastes have changed, my my SLife has gone in a new direction or my wallet can’t take it… christ or maybe all the above – who knows *shrugs* On to bigger and hopefully better… regardless of this new path – its going to be me!

Tiny Empires
Wow! I haven’t blogged about this in a long time … where to start. Let’s see I would like to welcome new family members Madison Weatherwax and her line as well as Ivy Paderborn. I am hoping to host our first ever family party this weekend … altho I still have to count the votes. *hehe* This party is really for all of us to meet and greet the rest of the family. Come one, come all … Its going to be a great time and hopefull I will have a DJ!!

ahh I was finally on TV … I knew it was my destiny!! mmm really it was I in the background… I am just over her left shoulder. My friend duckyfresh Watanabe is the Host of SCLN’s “Thats S’Life” airing Thursday and Sunday at 4PM SLT. She did last nite’s show on the Kindly sim. My 1 Year Rez Party
What a terrific first year … filled with friends, laughter, and yes tears. But all in all a terrific year! I am throwing a party to celebrate my first year!!! I am starting to get invites made and plans set … be on the look out if you are on my friends list you are surely invited!

**RL Snafu**
Just like Luna, the RL me is just as adorbale, loveable and yes sometimes stupid … I managed, all by myself, to slice into my middle finger while making a salad last nite. Hoping my finger wasn’t going to need stitches (I hate needles) but rather I left the ER as the proud new owner of 8 stitches and a huge gauzed middle finger that would make any road rager proud to give! No typing for me … but hey it wasn’t stated in the release note! :P

Givenchi Garment District – GRAND OPENING!

A very sweet friend of mine, GiveMeABig Oh, is holding her fashion sim opening today – Givenchi Garment District! The day is packed with Meet-N-Greets with well-known designers. I will be visiting this sim periodically all day … I already did some damage to my wallet this morning (totally worth it!) Also there will be prizes will be given away as well as a 2500L shopping spree for any of the stores at Givenchi Garment District!
