*Review* Skins Flicks: Beach Bum

I was so happy to see the latest release from Skin Flicks. Its all about beach wear. Beach Bum is a two option set: Bikini and Shorts and Tee set. The highcut bikini bottom is created in a pretty unique way. The top is created with two undershirt layers. One layer includes the top of the bikini bottom and the other is just the bikini top. The only downfall is that this isn’t created on all the layers, however; you can mix and match the elements. There are a ton of colors to choose from for both sets. (Pink and white shown.)

*Review* Mischief Dresses

I was just talking to a friend of mine saying how I don’t have many mini casual dresses… and then I see Mischief’s new releases.  I couldn’t be any happier.  April Showers and Kaylee fit perfectly into my growing collection.

Kaylee is a retro printed strapless dress created in bold gem tones.  April Showers is a halter topped dress with polkadots in pastel colors. Both are created using all the layers, except the undershirt layer – perfect for adding jackets or other embellishments. Check out the pics for some of the available colors.

*Review* .::Tyranny Designs::.

Tyr Rozenblum owns Tyranny Designs and has been apart of two hunts I attempted to complete.  Tyranny Designs is a new to me store.  I was completely impressed with her style.  The rich textures and all the different outfits that have a ton of personality really captured my attention.

There are even little surprises in her designs. I particularly liked the capris that have an interior fabric … and that cute bunny on the fishing bag even has a stuffed fish. The little things that Tyr adds to the designs are so clever! Btw, that on the fishing outfit, they are lures in the pants … and a hook in my lip. 0.o

She does create highly detailed gowns for RP and designs other creative items besides what I showed. Check out Tyranny Designs!

Lots of colors – bold, muted, basics and pales – and several new basics for your clothing. Neapolitan

Sorry I have so many posts today… some days I just have this need to blog. I guess today is that day. You all get to suffer thru my rambling. Another odd thing, I actually read the fashion feed. Well really I stopped reading at Milla Michinaga’s post. 

She just released new cropped jackets.  I actually got excited to see jackets in the warm tones of pink, blue, yellow, cream and others.  I darted right over to pick out my jacket.  Of course I picked up the pink one. Altho I think I may go back and get that blue one. Why stop at just one?!

Thinking in line with my last post, I did pink and brown and kept it simple. I guess that’s why I’m able to blog more. Its still quality finds with minimal accessories.

Another reason for the post, the skin. Its an upcoming release from 42. I dont know how this designer does it but I was offered the skin while looking for a matching skin for this outfit. Does this one not just fit so well with the look?! Oh yeah, check out the freckles. They have an orangey tones, something unique and yet close to RL ones for us fair folk.

I was kinda on the fence about this hair since I did just use in my last post.  Really, who cares! Its good hair and should be shown.  Eventhough its for the guys, its killer with the short jacket!

I carried the brown tone from the dress to the stockings to the shoes.  I think this is what makes the jacket totally pop … and enhances the face.  For the added chick features, I tossed on my favorite pearl choker and earrings. Genesis is one of the stores that is packed with timeless pieces.

The whole outfit is very veristile and … has something for everyone. Hmmm… kinda like Neapolitan ice cream.

*Review* {Zaara}

{Zaara} is a store packed with beautiful finds that are inspired by Indian fashion.  Just today, Zaara Kohime released sheer shirts, mini jackets and velour slacks.  These new releases are perfect to add to my inventory.  The jacket, called Inka, is perfect for this season’s latest mini jacket trend (that I can’t get enough of). Even the sheer shirt is a fantastic essential.  The shirt is available with all the layers.  Just like the jacket, there is more than one way to wear it. I think my fav is the velour slacks.  The low slung waist that hugs the hips adds that sex appeal.  Each of these items are sold separately … and work so very well together as a complete outfit.  Also, each item comes in a variety of colors and sold in fat packs.

*Review* Dutch Touch

I’m so slacking on doing a clothing post for Dutch Touch.  I have a ton to show off!  Iki has been (and still is) busy, busy and more busy.  She has a few new guy things in the works (potentially released by now, if not very soon) and has redone her store layout again. For the chicas, she has a new skin line out (posted earlier) and several new outfits and, of course, seperates.  The majority of her designs have a layered effect.  This means without the jacket there is a cute top underneath.  Sure things may not be created on all the layers but for this, who cares! *Review* Laqroki ~ Skins

I’m sorta embarassed to say this, but, I’m a Laqroki skin virgin.  Sure I’ve seen and demo’d their skins in the past but never owned one.  If you are like me and only have their clothing and hair but no skin, go check out this new line.

Mallory Cowen of Laqroki released this past weekend a new line of skins called Elin Glow.  I’m so excited to have this as my first Laqroki skin. Now we all know that I’m completely attracted to a skin for the makeup. This one is different. It was the body shading that really make me take a second look.

When I got the skin pack, I immediately started to flip through them.  Sure, at first they all were pretty and wow’d me.  Not until the second day of wearing these did it really hit me, these are good skins.  Not just the kind for here on the blog or for pics but an everyday kinda skin good.

For me, the chest and stomach are the two regions that made me want to see the skins in different outfits and lighting.  That’s the true test – wearablity.  If I can’t wear the skin in several different settings, its not worth buying.  These are so worth it.  I think I’ve managed to wear them in the last several post during the weekend. 

As far as the makeup goes, its more on the natural side.  Soft hints of color for the eyes and lips.  The lip tones range from shimmery pinks to a beautiful red matte and this coppery tone that will be so yummy for the fall!

The eye shadows are just as subtle with upper lid softly highlighted with white or pale tones.  To me, it looks like the same eyeliner is carried throughout the collection I was able to review.  This eyeliner is my style, dramatic but not overboard on the heaviness. 

I urge you to see these skins in person.  Pick up a demo for yourself and see it with your own shape, clothing and lighting.  Surely, you will be just as impressed as me.

Festivale

Festival is Open!!

Dove Swanson of Long Awkward Pose and Autumn of Pixel Dust have finally completed an amazingly unique themed sim, Festivale.  I’m loving the carnival themes that run completely through their own stores and the mini shopping district. 

Earier today, I ran back over to browse the other aspects of the sim. Photogs, get out your cameras, tons of niches that are perfect for pics!
