During last weekend, I was nearly giddy to sign on to see a set of shoes from Orange Creations waiting for me. This new pair and the other set are never far from my feet these days.  What directed me to the store was Sissi String‘s plurk about the first pair of shoes. Several us landed at the store to pick up the full fat packs!

Seriously, how can you not get all the colors!? The price is decent and tons of colors with hud driven options. Its nice to have another high quality shoe designer.

Shipoopi

I’ve been tooling around in my current inventory coming up with numerous outfits. I’ve sorta missed blogging “look of the day” or LOTD. Of course I’ve stop calling it LOTD since someone thought it meant “Lord of the Dance”. Fabulous.

To be honest, its just something I roll my eyes and move on. Oh, yeah, if you think I’m an “all is roses and perfect in my world” kinda person, you’re mistaken. I’m not happy all the time. Hi. I’m human. I get crabby. Today, I’m crabby.

So before I smell the judgment coming from you, I’ll move this cranky ramble right along. See the thing is, I’m not not sure where I’m going with this either.

I guess I’ll just shut it and tell you that I’ve had that dumb song “shipoopi” stuck in my head all day. Maybe that’s why I’m cranky. Could be. Could be.

Since that post in early 2009 I’ve at least attempted to mention the pose store if not the pose itself when used. Sure not 100% of the time, if that was the case, I’d be rockin’ it. To The Beach!

I don’t know about you all …. but I’m so set to hit the beach!  For my RL location, the warm weather is on its way and its time to think about the summer and the shore.  Yeah, here, again in RL, we call it “down the shore”.  Its a local saying meaning we are going to the beach.  Regardless of the beach’s location to you, its always said “down the shore”.  Growing up, the shore was due east, not south, and still we said that were going down the shore. Another fav is when you ask where someone is, the response is “they’re down the shore” (of course spoken like Sly Stallone (aka Rocky) since I grew up in the Philadelphia region).  Many uses and still weird to folks that aren’t native to my hometown.  Ok, I digress.

I would so wear this for travelling to the shore.  Yup, even the big hat. Ya gotta protect your skin in the summer sun at all times.  So let’s hit up the hat first. For weeks I wanted this hat, I saw it on someone in a store, inspected it and found it was from Cachet.  Like a dope I had no clue MMS, as it was called at the time, was closed for renovations and TP’d over to the store, without sucess. So I waited until they reopened. See I do have patience!

Next are several finds from yesterday shopping trips. [ATOMIC] was having a huge skin sale, I just had to snag another skin.  Gawd my skin collection is getting out of hand. Still I wanted, and I now have this cute skin. It has soft freckles too, perfect for summer. Another sale was over at *BOOM*.  Yup, I took advantage of all the awesome sales! The long shirt is part of a bikini but works great with the tweed pants.  Instead of the bikini top, that would be too easy, I swapped it out for a tube top.  It works great since the front of the tweed pants are low slung and the tube top is cut short, its all covered.  Still it shows a tint of belly.

The hair and accessories is what really finishes the look.  I choose one my favs from the new >TRUTH< collection, Sehra. The only true color in this outfit is the pink flower. It gives a focal point to the overall look without overpowering the muted khakis and pale creams. For just a slight more drama, I added a chunky bracelet from Artilleri and a cute little choker I found last nite.

I just heard the [ATOMIC] main store is reopened, so you can find me there this morning!  After that, I ‘m going to the beach!!  ciao!

*Review* /artilleri/

Earlier today, Antonia Marat of /artilleri/ released several new things *and* showed off the redesigned diner (aka her store). I am really lovin’ the new layout of the store. Its a much better showcase for everything /artilleri/ has to offer! Even a fresh look for the ads/vendors.

For the new releases, its the first in many months. Its like she didn’t skip a beat.  I’m not a fan of non-prim items but it was hard to resist the pencil skirts and highwaisted capris. Antonia really showed her awesome talent with these new releases. The textures are well detailed and the colors pop!

After all this time shopping at /artilleri/ I still like browsing the old and new.  Even digging in my own inventory, its nice to see old favs and of course getting excited again for those random pieces that I forgot about! Get out your favs and mix ‘em with the new – tons of good stuff to come!!

Mashup: Sunday's Magik(a)

Nothing like finding a review copy misplaced.  Here’s my mashup that evolved from using this hairstyle from Magika.  When I first saw the hair, I had no idea what to do with it as it wasn’t my style.  Well today was the day I finally figured out the perfect attire.

Magika has been a frequent review of mine and this is the first of their hair I had the pleasure of owning. The pack was loaded with pinks, whites, blacks, blues, and my own color, brown.  Overall the style has grown on me as I really do enjoy the tied leather accents.  It really lent itself to more of my funky lovable poses.

Tees aren’t something I typically wear.  I wanted a casual kitchy look. Pairing a brightly colored tee from [Riddle] and my old faithful capris from Artilleri completely fit that bill.  The best part is the heeled converse sneaks with the bright white trim and laces.

I found the skin during a sale about 6 or 8 months ago. I shop like a caveman – I see, I want, I buy (regardless of price). This skin sat in inventory never to see the light of LL’s sun. Shame too ’cause I like the heavily smoked eye and slightly burnt lip tone.  The bestest part, the freckles! I love freckles for laid back looks.

Just like keeping this mashup simple and easy … so will be this post. Its sunday … its a day to be lazy.

*Review* *AnnaH* – Rita

*AnnaH* design house just released several stunning gowns.  Each are inspired by the old Hollywood glamour.  Even though I ogled over each one Annah gave me, I choose “Rita” to review.  Not really sure why this one … but it just had this sleek quietness about the gown.

The gown’s elements are simple but make a huge impact as a collective.  From the large bow perched on the hip with the flowing ribbons to the long flair skirt to the long detailed gloves … there is something to catch the eye and keep it moving all the same time.

Just like Rita Haywood, its a classic that can not be replicated.  Maybe its the dark rich fabric or the simple elegance of the sweetheart neckline … whatever it is I enjoyed this gown immensely.

Color Combo

Surfing Flickr looking for new places to shop, I found Fetch.  First off, the store’s build is remarkable – great textures! Fetch has a ton of great items not only for chicks but .. guys (oh you though I would say something else. Get your minds out of the gutter!). Anywho, purple and green combo has always been a secret fav of mine.  I have a few things in inventory with this color palette.  Super quick outfit … super quick post!
