Y’s House products now have a little large section in my inventory. When they announced their group gift, I couldn’t wait to own the little house. There is a large version available in case you’re not a fan of the smaller spaces. For me, its ideal for bringing to life a cozy reading nook. I think this is perfect for any imagination.

I wanted the exterior to be loaded with pots and plants. I love homes with a careful spirit and for some reason potted plants have this feel for me.

As for the interior, I wanted to keep the floor space open and used furniture that was simple. The focal points are the books and papers around the room. My fav is using a small potted plant on the “homemade” ledge. This ledge I created using two prims. Using the shelf in the back for books and two pillows was a perfect touch to cover up the bar in the original build.

One of the bloggers I like to stalk follow is Thema Felix. She also showcased this little house on her blog. Thema created a whole other look for the space. What will you do with the house?

Over the weekend, I received a very sweet note from Bastet, the designer behind Nut!. I headed over to her store thinking I’d be snatching up the fashion finds. Even though the clothing is cute, what caught my attention was the greenhouse.

Its a large unique setting for a home. Now being new to the home decor scene, I’m still finding my way but what a great route with this house! I typically go for a clean modern so the dirty glass and permanently opened doors was out of my norm. And I love it, all of it.

I could fill every nook and separate the space into several areas. For me, I enjoyed the long hallway of glass and keeping it minimal. I wanted a feeling of sparse with a lived in feel. May favorites are the wall tattoos and ivy. Here are some of the interior shots:

What’s ironic is that of my last post when I mentioned something about living in a glass house. Life really does come full circle!

After listing all the items, it read like a grocery list. To condense the list some, I’ve consolidated most. If you have any issues finding the products or have questions about what’s shown, just IM me.

Instead of doing the expected fashion post, I’ve decided to show off our cottage. We do have a main house on the property. This little place has become the place I run to hide.

I’m usually alone when I’m not with Express. I find a sort of relaxation here without him inworld. One of my favorite songs come to mind but you’re not getting the title; just some of the lyrics:

These walls
Have eyes
Rows of photographs
And faces like mine

It’s true
I’m missing you
And I stand alone
Inside your room

The calmness of the song is just perfect for this setting and decor. I think its the cool tones and the earthiness that I enjoy the most for this tiny little house. As much as I love large open spaces, a small space can be perfect too.

Tiny Bird is all new again with brand new textures! If you haven’t seen this store in some time, check it out again. I’m sure you will be just as thrilled as I was to see the newness! I get a kick out of the naming of the fat packs — “Great Personality” — and even the packaging — the adorable nest and eggs symbolic of the hair packs. The eggs will break upon choosing the hair colors.
