Show Me Some Skin!
Let me give you some back story on why I’m blogging about skins. I was chatting with a friend that I’ve now known for about a year. I met him on the campus of KSU when I had white hair and wore (everyday, never changed) a Nevermore skin. Not that Nevermore is bad (Callie Cline wears them!). This is about the time I decided to change skins. Sure, I felt that I had every demo skin imaginable and was so over-the-top picky about just one. It occrued to me, why have just one?! This is the beautiful of SL I can buy them all (and surely be broke at the end of that shopping spree). It just got me thinking about what exactly do I have in that “Skin” folder.
In doing so, I realized I have a bunch of great skins that just never get photographed. Just like you all, I have a bunch of favorites and old faithfuls in this folder. Did you ever go back to check out those that you just don’t wear or even remember that you own them?
Now the flip side, I love doing skin reviews. Its a shame that some of the designers’ hard work doesn’t fully come through on a pic. Most skins you have to demo or own to fully appreciate. The amazing content and design of each skin really floors me. I often wonder how many hours it takes to create one skin, let alone an entire line. I’m certainly not patient enough. To have that level of talent to create enough variety and diversity is astonishing.
Of course, not every skin is for every shape nor should ever see the light of day agian. Maybe one day I will post a pic of my first ever purchased skin (nearly 2 years ago). Not all freebie skins are bad either. (My prior post, I believe, shows a freebie skins.) Thankfully skins have evolved … or perhaps my tastes?
Here’s a glimpse of a few I have in my inventory – so no review – just show:

*Review* LBD: NOIR SinSin Flexi Dress
My eyes nearly popped when I saw that little blue menu appear to accept inventory from LeeZu Baxter of Leezu Baxter Designs. It was euphoric. LBD is among that group of design houses that I completely adore. I can walk that store over and over unsure what to choose … just wanting it all. (Ok I have most of it but that’s besides the point.)
This newly released collection called NOIR really screams me. SinSin, like the rest of the collection, are all black, feminine, yummy with a sexy flair. Detailing on this design is refreshing. Very simple rouching type of effect. The front is just as attractive as the back. The super plunging back is sexy as it begs for the exposed skin to be caressed.
Like any other LBD fan, I’m in her group (LeeZu Baxter Designs) and received the group invite today’s fashion show. I sat there with my other NOIR piece (Miriam) and drooled over the items that strutted down the catwalk. Self control was very apparent – not to but it all on the spot!!

*Review* (Kunglers) Upcoming Releases
AvaGardner & Barbra Kungler of Knuglers shared with me two unreleased dresses. This first one, Athena, is done in my favorite monochrome color palette. The pattern across the top and hem kinda reminded me of a throw back to the ’70s. With that thought in my mind, I easily found items in my “closet” to compliment this adorable short dress. (Bangle bracelets included with dress.)

The second dress, Gaya, is another short skirt dress with a gorgeous bodice accented by a leather laced-up corset. The same laced-up detail is on the sleeves. To complete the dress design, there is a tiny prim bow on the top of the corset.

*Review* KL Heels: Anita
Babette Ultsch, owner of Kitties Lair, dropped on me her latest release – Anita. This shoe a great follow up to her ever-poplur peep toe heel, “Tease!”. “Anita” has a sculpted ankle strap and a bling script easily controlled by clicking the right shoe (of course in a non-script area, as I learned lol).
Again, the pricing for “Anita” is still just as inexpensive (L$290) where you can pick up all the colors.

*Review* PERSONA: Nola Dress
Myllie Writer, owner of PERSONA, gave me yet another reason to adore her store. She dropped on me this sweet little babydoll dress and a pair of earrings. The textures and shading on the Nola dress are perfect. The dress comes in all the layers (jacket, shirt, undershirt, undies and pants). Also with the outfit, there is a feather brooch that completes the look. Nola comes in five colors – blue (shown), cherry, green, plum and rust. Super cute for summer!
When you’re at PERSONA, check out her jewelry collection!!

*Review* Kunglers
AvaGardner Kungler and Barbra Kungler are the amazing duo behind Kunglers Designs. Recently I had the opportunity to review two of their dresses.
“Savannah” made me say “Ohhh”! At first I saw the animal print, which I love for summer attire. Then the hem line, the animal print continued with a hint of other colors and the textures. Bonus feature is the necklace. Easily paired with bangles I had in inventory … and the look was complete!
“Fiore” is an adorable halter-dress which needs minimal accessorizing. I’ve paired it with new jewelry from Persona to help accent the dress’ detail. Both dresses really showcase these ladies talents.

*Review* Fetch Alternative: Skins
I was so elated to see that Vanessa Cardway had shared with me her latest skin line. These skins were just released today. Yesterday, when I was at Fetch Alternative, she was prepping the ad boards. Just seeing the pics, I was amazed. When the first skin rezzed, I was in love. Could these be the skins I frequently wear?
I adore the heavier eye make with the pale pink lip. Pleasantly surprised that the pink of the lip wasn’t too “pink” nor played-down into a neutral tone. Also, the other “love” moment, is realizing the makeups are so versatile. I already can picture pairing each of them with many of my favorite outfits.
For this post, I had a hard time deciding which skin to choose (hoping to do the gorgeous skins justice). Seriously, you have to see these skins on … wow!!

Color Combo
Surfing Flickr looking for new places to shop, I found Fetch. First off, the store’s build is remarkable – great textures! Fetch has a ton of great items not only for chicks but .. guys (oh you though I would say something else. Get your minds out of the gutter!). Anywho, purple and green combo has always been a secret fav of mine. I have a few things in inventory with this color palette. Super quick outfit … super quick post!
