*Review* Ornamental Life – Ornamental Boudoir

Ornamental Boudoir is proud to announce six new lingerie sets.  I was going to pick one or two to show but I couldn’t decide.  It was even difficult to pick the colors. Each come with multiple layers and bold gem tones.  Shir Dryke, the creator behind Ornamental Life, really surprised me with these sets.  I like that each one has a slightly different feel.  The wide range of cut and texturing is outstanding.  Ornamental Boudoir is one of those lines that has alittle something for everyone. Seriously, you should have at least one if not a few of Ornamental Boudoir in your closet.

*Review* Ornamental Life

Shir Dryke, owner of Ornamental Life, made me go “oooh!” yesterday when I put on for the first time her latest creations.  Here are two of the items that instantly caught my eye. “Back to School” and “Lucy in the Sky” both come jammed packed with colors and mixing and matching options.  I still enjoy the fact that Shir doesn’t label her clothing with the usual colors (ie, black, white, blue, etc). Instead she uses unique and creative color names.  For instance, “Back to School” color is black but she called it “Called to the Blackboard” – CUTE! Ok enough about the behind the scenes, lets check out the details.  A unique element on “Back to School” is the long sleeves with the thumb holes. I only showed the one skirt design but there is a longer skirt as well. The hair and hat is a combo deal – and included in the fat pack with two other color options (brown shown).

“Lucy in the Sky” (shown in “with moonstones”) screamed cute and innocent.  Its a mod empire waisted babydoll with a lacey hem.  What really made me take a second look were the knee-high socks with prim bows…. up prim bows. Yummy! Cute, cute and more cute!

I’m really not kidding – each folder was loaded with multiple layer options and colors. I really had a hard time picking what color – I loved them all!!

*Review* Eat Rice

Hair: Stellar - chocodark / Skin: Willow Tan smokey

I received an overstuffed review packet from Ellie Celt of Eat Rice.  The last few days I’ve been, without realizing it, walking around with new eyes. Now this is huge for me as I rarely change eyes or even like others. I’m picky.  Ellie really did these baby blues perfectly.  They reflect light and still have that dimension that other eyes are always seem to be missing.

Hair: Kawaii - blondedark / Skin: Willow Dark ice

For the hair samples, I was completely impressed.  At first I thought they would be slightly punky for me, until I paired the auburn style with the prior post. It was a great match! For this post, I chose the two color changing styles. Kawaii in blondedark (eek I’m a blonde) with blue tips and Stellar in chocodark with pink highlights.  Both styles are scripted.  Just click and a menu appears to change the colored pieces.  Excellent for any outfit – gotta love versatility in a hairstyle! Oh, did you see the added touches? Check it out closer to see the stars, berets and thingies. So cute!

Eat Rice also has a wide variety of skins.  Ellie shared with me several different styles.  I chose a basic everyday look and something a little funkier.  Regardless of what you choose, you will be amazed at the level of detail and yet the smoothness of her skins.  The best feature is the stomach (besides the makeups).  I like a less-chiseled belly, a more sporty look.

Tons of great things at Eat Rice. Go check it out! Let them Eat Rice! Thanks so much Ellie

*Review* Ornamental Life

A fellow blogger crossed over into designer her own items.  Shir Dryke just recently crossed over into the “design realm” of fashion. Ornamental Life is now a shop out on the grid.  What I’ve seen from the review copies she gave me, Shir’s off to a great start.  I chose to talk about “Sounds of Goa”.  Its not only a dress but a one-piece bathing suit.  Thankfully a full coverage suit.  I sometimes cringe when I see one pieces… not this one. I was so relieved to see a full “seat” and top.

Sounds of Goa comes in a boatload of colors … all with unique names.  Another cool thing about Shir. I have yet to see her use the common name for colors.  Just like her fashions, the colors have a fun and lively name.  Very well thought out for marketing.

Keep up the great work Shir.  Its great to help support you and get the word out about your shop!
