Pass It On!

I’m in this mood of organizing my inventory. If you’re like me, there is a folder that you just shove things into to organize later. This folder is scary as all get out and I’ve avoided it for a very long time. In this folder are fat packs of clothing, hair, shoes and all my Truth hairs. I love Truth hair fat packs but rarely am I successful at digging out the individual colors into color family folders. To put an end to the madness, at least for the Truth hair, here are two lists I compiled:

The alphabetical list is super handy since items in folders are by default sorted alphabetically. This means the alphabetical list with the corresponding color family makes it easy to drag the correct colors into the color family folders I made.

I know the lists aren’t pretty but they work. Pass it on!

How to Take a High Res Snap Shot

Have you noticed that your photos aren’t as “smooth” as others? Do you see jagged edges on avatars and objects in your photos? It might be due to the low resolution of your photographs.

“GAH! What’s Resolution?”, you my ask. Its the level of detail and/or pixels. The higher the detail and pixels the better the photo. You will want to take the biggest photo possible.

High-res Snapshot

It’s under the ‘Client’ menu and when you have a ‘X’ in front of it, it’s activated. It’s only useful if you use the ‘Snapshot to Disk’ function because you can change the resolution settings manually in the Take Snapshot option window. Normally if you take a ‘Snapshot to Disk’, it has the same resolution as your monitor. When High-res Snapshot is activated, that resolution is doubled. Follow the next few steps will greatly improve your photo quality:

1 – Turn on “High-res Snapshot” (Advanced>High-res Snapshot) *To turn on the Advanced Menu: shift+ctrl+alt+D (windows users)

2 – Change Snapshot size
Size does matter. The greater the width and height with proportions constrained will be easier to work with as well.

These two very simple changes will make a huge difference in your blog’s photos.

New Truth Hair

I don’t think I’ve done a “just Truth hair” post. Sure, I use a ton of his hair on my blog and have talked about the hair in the posts but I don’t think it has ever been its own post.

Here’s the latest release for this week. Yup. I said week. Truth is one of those designers who releases hair weekly. I’m not talking one or two but more like 3 or 4 or more per week. This time is four!

Two weeks ago, there was a missed week… but when was the last missed week? I can’t  recall. The reason for the missed week was the launch of the new hair only sim and we were “rewarded” with several new colors.

I’ll let you in on a secret … I’m thinking of going red or brown in the upcoming months due to the new red and brown from Truth! These tones were just the push I needed to look at a new hair color. Now if only a skin creator *waves at a certain someone* would release the skin I”ve been living in, the hair color change would be complete!

Musashi-Do Celebrates Five Years of Designing

Musashi-Do was opened on November the 27th, 2004. 5 years later, on November the 27th, 2009, we want to thank our loyal customers for their continued support with an explosive Black Friday!

On November the 27th at the Musashi-Do flagship store, there will be a massive 50% discount sale.  All the Musashi-Do designs (excluding only the new Tuxedo “Party in Venezia” that will be released on Thursday, November the 26th) will have their price slashed by half!  If you’ve had your eyes on a Musashi-Do design, Friday will be the best time to finally treat yourself to it, or to purchase your holiday gifts for your loved ones! The sale will run all day, from midnight to midnight, non-stop.

To help fight the lag, the same discount will be applied to the Musashi-Do products for sale at the Musashi-Do Christmas Shop in Winterstock, where you’ll also be able to enjoy a special Black Friday sale from most of the other designers present on the popular Christmas sim.
