i carry your heart

i carry your heart

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

That is one of my all-time FAVORITE e.e. cummings poems and certainly I consider it to be in his top 5 love poems. It also fits the post oh-so-perfectly! LOVELY! Also, it's a poem that I semi-analyzed for a post on my real life blog (which is very nsfw, folks), called “Erotic Poetry from E.E???” and has links to a TON of info on him and his love poetry and erotica. Just thought it might be of some interest.

Also, I really adore the seeming simplicity of this pic. The lines and curves of your body are breathtaking when nearly-bare. The fact that you didn’t try to fancy-it-up with tons of jewelry and tattoos, etc, was a great choice. The bareness and all that leave room for so much interpretation, giving it that much more emotion. It’s kind of breathtaking. This pic is a bit haunting as well. One of my fave posts that I’ve read/seen of yours. Thank you for sharing it! <3
