Happy Things: Pink

Over the past few weeks dealing with RL issues, I’ve noticed I’ve not smiled as much as I normally do. In efforts to make my smile reappear, I’m starting a series called Happy Things. Simply put, its posts of things that make me happy. These posts can range from a color, like this one, to things around me or material items. The “happy” could be of a moment or from inspiration of those around me.

For my first Happy Things pose is about the color pink. Not all colors of pink make me smile but only the bold passionate ones and those that are so pale they’re nearly white. I’ve even put pink in my store.

I hope to do more posts soon. This project, for me, is very similar to my Dream Big List as its a type of personal journey.

Seeing Green

Logging in to see new items from some of the hottest designers around the grid makes me giddy. I went a little nuts at this designer. In my defense I drooled over the shoes before buying. Typically I’ll stalk things before buying then wear the hell out of them. Its kinda like a winning an award – you want it and when you finally get it, you want to show it off. Consider this my award:

Would it be bad if I called this post “I won da internets”? Yeah probably.

Etheria: MONKEE & Evie’s Closet

The idea behind Etheria is designers are to bring their talents to the jewelers. The two work in unison to compliment the jewelry. When I saw that Darion and Evie were paired, I was excited!

What a dream

I really should stop saying I’m not a gown person. I guess I am. I enjoy the drama of a long flowing skirt. Miamai, for me, was “introduced” to me during the Pose Fair a few months ago. When I saw there is a clothing line as well as awesome poses, it caught my attention.

Caroline’s Jewelry has been and will continue to be a wonderful brand name. The store is full of many new items and some of my old favorites. Caroline’s jewelry is always beautiful. This set will be released during the week long event called Etheria and it starts tomorrow.

The best location to show off both these items is the MacBeth sim. I shot another gown post here just a few months back. The sim is intriguing and allows items to be rezed. Perfect for photographers who use pose stands. Or you can pick up Tillie’s Pose Stand to take photos anywhere! I’ve been using this pose system for 2 years or so now.

Tickets Please!

TICKETme is a new-to-me brand. Its a little shop packed with super cute clothes. With about a dozen or so items, the store is quaint. I think its a great start for a designer!

TICKETme is the type of designer that I adore. Its one of the smaller guys. There’s something to be said for putting yourself out there and creating clothing (or anything for that matter!). I’m really happy I was given the chance to show off this designer. Even if I did pick just the tee, check out the store to find other items you may enjoy.

You wouldn’t think I would let this blog post go by without showing my butt, right?!

A little bird told me

Someone told me that white on white is my signature style during the summer months. Perhaps they are right. If so, Tiny Bird has a new dress, not only in white, that is just perfect for the look.

This is not the first time Tiny Bird has been a the dressing making disco. The last release was just as sweet. The dress shown here also comes with layers for an undershirt and cute cap sleeves. I consider this an added bonus, nearly two dresses in one.

Autumn put this dress out as two of the four items for Fifty Linden Fridays. The usual “Great Personality” packs is filled with 10 colors. Two of the 10 are the colors for FLF. I recommend picking up all the colors.

Another new item at Tiny Bird is a shirt called Mykonos. Another little peak into my fashion style that I rarely blog is white and teal. Such a super fresh feeling for summer. This shirt is spot on for the feeling of the outfit. Short shorts and the blousy top work so well together.

Like I said before, I’m ecstatic Tiny Bird is working on adding in more and more clothing. Its really good quality and wonderfully priced.

Whippet & Buck love

It wasn’t too hard to sell me on the new one-piece bathing suit from Whippet & Buck. From the time I saw the work in progress photos I made a note to pick up the full fat pack. Then when I heard the price, it was confirmed a fat pack was in my near future.

Whippet & Buck’s clothing is simple, tasteful and so easily blend-able with anything else in my inventory. This bathing suit has a beautiful range of colors. In case the fat pack isn’t your thing, you can pick up the single colors to mini fat packs.

For the photo location, I choose a sim that I visit often called Risk City. It is mature but so highly artistic. If you do visit be prepared for several *cough* couples activities locations tucked around the sim.

Yesterday I did a little plurk tease about the stunning things coming out of Phoenix Rising. This store is known for its wonderful clothing designs but did you know the jewelry is just … wow. Its been awhile since something like this has come my way … and took my breath away.

Stuff that makes me smile

… and not in the snarky way either!

I was thrilled to see a plurk from December Dollinger looking for a good home for a few Ozimal bunnies. These bunnies were an “oops” from her couple. I smiled so big when I saw the one was a lop. Express and I promised each other that would at this time have lopped eared bunnies as pets. Yup, no breeding. We plan to adopt those lops that people don’t want. ‘cember gave us our first. I named her Concertina after my favorite Tori Amos song.

The other smile today came from LAP. This pose brand has been in my pose stands since the dawn of my blogging career. Nothing made me more happy than to see Dove releasing new sets. This set called Bunny Collection I was released just moments ago. Not only is this for us bunney lovers but it is perfectly priced. Its half off for the first 24 hours.

Its time for me to head off to listen to another SL live musicians before celebrating the one year anniversary of being with Express.
